Bicycling

Oleta River State Park currently has approximately 10 miles of challenging, intermediate mountain bike trails. For the beginner, there are over four miles of novice trails and three miles of paved trail. The paved trail also offers great conditions for roller blading. The park is very conscience about safety on the trails and provides a bicycle helmet loaner system for those that forget their bicycle helmets.

Cabins

The park has 14 primitive cabins that are available to rent. Most of the cabins are equipped with one double bed, a bunk bed and air conditioning. Cabin #1 is handicapped accessible. Cabin #2 has one double bed only. Cabin #3 has 2 sets of bunk beds. While there are no kitchens or bathrooms in the cabins, a bathhouse, with hot showers, is centrally located. Canoe & Kayak Launch Rent a canoe or Kayak from our Visitor Service Provider the Blue Moon Outdoor Center or bring our own canoe/Kayak

$2.00 Launch fee applies at the Historic Blue Marlin Fish House. Visitor Service Provider (VSP) The park has a concession that is open from 9AM to 1-1/2 before sunset. The concession rents canoes, kayaks and bicycles. Gift Store & Snack items are also available. Fishing The fishing pier is always a popular site for fishing as well as the shores of the park along the Intracoastal Waterway that borders the east shores of the park. Do you need a Fishing License?

 

Nature Trails

Hiking Trails provide a scenic view through the native Mangrove & exotic Australian-pine forest. In the waterways along the trails you can see a variety of birds and animals.

Picnicking
Nine covered picnic pavilions are available on a first-come, first-served basis or may be rented by reservation. The largest pavilion, "White Ibis," houses 24 picnic tables and includes electric and water. The rental rate is $160.50 per day, including tax. The remaining eight pavilions each house 10 picnic tables and include only water. The rental rate for these pavilions is $107.00 per day, including tax. There is a $50.00 refundable cleanup deposit on all pavilion rentals. Contact the park office for availability and reservations.

Showers
Public showers are provided

Wildlife Viewing
All wildlife is in its natural environment and is not housed or contained. They can be seen in various locations of the park at various times of the year according to the species habitual living preferences.

Youth Camping
Youth Group camping is available.Contact Park for reservations.
