Welcome to the Oleta River Adventure Association (ORAA) information center.

ORAA is a citizen support organization that sponsors events, raises funds and supports the goals of Oleta River State Park and the Historic Blue Marlin Fisheries Nature Center.

WHAT IS A CSO ?

The CSO (Citizen Support Organization) is a program that provides much needed funds for equipment, supplies, programs and supplemental staffing, At 1,032 acres, Oleta River State Park is the largest urban park in the state. Located on Biscayne Bay in northeast Dade County, the most prominent natural feature of the park is the Oleta River, for which the park is named. Today, the Oleta River no longer feeds into the Everglades but its beauty and splendor lives on. Water birds feed along the mangrove-lined shoreline and the endangered West Indian Manatee finds refuge from south Florida's crowded waterways. The Oleta River Adventure Association (ORAA) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to generating additional support for Oleta River State Park. Most Florida state parks have programs and physical needs which go beyond the state's ability to provide funding. Oleta River State Park offers kayaking, mountain biking, air conditioned log cabins, swimming, fishing and picnicking. This is all available along the scenic Biscayne Bay. Help preserve, protect, and improve Oleta! .
